Journal Entry 2

22.2.2023

My work for this homework :
Created my level and set transitions from start to over ( I was not suppossed to have a scenes that were not mine but I have read that after build + I find it better when there is introduction of some sort). It all took me about half and hour while being in a lab and hour and a half after a lab ( since I added that when you fall you die and played with some easy "puzzles" like that you need to push a block to door pad to keep it open or with mechanics like enemy spawner).

I think the outcome it pretty playable, not the easiest (as it should) , some tricky jumps ,enemy fighting and overall just quick play.

Good job!

For the box puzzle - it's good to have some sort of visual clue for these, even something as simple as an arrow pointing in the right direction might work. Especially considering there is no way to reset the box (besides restarting the whole game). Generally visual clues are very important in giving the player direction, sometimes it might feel too handholdy and obvious, but I find it better to start with that and then cut the hints down.

To be clear, this is just food for thought for your next work! The homework is good as it is and you can consider the assignment completed :)
